We’re integrating with the Plugin API and using the /payments endpoint to track purchases and revenue.
Currently, the response returns the total payment amount and a list of packages, but it does not include the individual price of each package at the time of purchase. Since prices can change over time due to sales, discounts, and coupons, we have no way to accurately determine how much each item actually cost when the payment was made.
This makes it difficult to:
Track revenue per individual package
Distribute the total amount across items correctly
Account for discounts applied to specific items
Suggestion:
Add a paid_price field (and optionally base_price) to each item in the packages array of the /payments response.
Example:
json
“packages”: [
“id”: 12345,
“name”: “Example Package”,
“base_price”: 19.99,
“paid_price”: 14.99
}
]
This would enable accurate reporting and revenue attribution for developers and store owners using the Plugin API.
Thank you for considering this!
